The one thing I never liked about the Victorinox knives I owned was the plastic cheap feeling scales and I have broken a couple sets but that is a thing of the past now check out my Bengal g10 for my tinker. someone please refresh me on the rules am I allowed to say where i got them and the price?

the pros: it's cool as hell, much tougher, and much more grip
the cons: the tooth pick has retention but not quite as much as the original scales but i held it up side down and gave it several good shakes and the toothpick stayed put so it should not be an issue. on the end opposite of the tooth pick and tweezers there is an ever so slight gap between (think microscopic).

I am very happy with them over all! I will try to answer any questions you guys may have

Interesting, but a bit strange IMHO. For SAKs to me if it's not red or alox it's not a SAK.
Does look like a nice job of installing the scales though.

Very cool, the Tinker is a great model for carry in the city. I have carried one since I was a kid, though lately I find myslef carrying a Farmer most often. I would love to see a alox Tinker with the heavier blade and more durable scales. In the city I find the philips driver and small blade very useful.

Looks neat. I often pull the scales off my celluloid SAKs and replace it with a nice timber of some sort.
