Dressy knife <$200

I haven't bought a knife in a while and decided I deserved a present for myself. I am looking for something kind of "dressy" as opposed to black tactical look. (I work in an office environment.) I would ideally get a Benchmade Axis lock, but I haven't found the right look. The Osborne 960 on red is what I've found that comes closest. I also like the Benchmite but it's a different lock, and the mini-Skirmish but I would prefer no recurve.

I am thinking of spending $100-$200 if necessary.

I guess by dressy I am thinking of steel, titanium or some other handle type. Maybe even wood, I don't know! Just not plastic or the like. If I strike out I'll likely just get the Equipped to Survive Griptillian.

I don't really like some of the "gentleman's" folders with the thumbnail ticks.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I reckon this fits the bill perfectly

I bought a Leek Ti-ZDP189 from GP Knives and can recommend the service.

You mention Benchmade, how about this

Both are a lot of knife for the price.

i just got a sog twitch 2, i got all black and it looks very clean and probably "dressy". you cna find them for 50-75 new depending on which colors you want. only isue i have with it is the break in time was kind of annoying but it made it realyl easy to learn how to open it easily and hold it well so i guess its a blessing.

the twitches have flat AL handles so that fits into what you are looking for.

the blade is also insanely sharp out of the box, maybe i just never bought a good enough quality knife but ive never had a knife as sharp as this.

maybe even a gentelman sog thats totaly silver and vey clean and sleak would work. both are cheaper than your price range though but hey if it fits what you want why not save some.

There are a lot of production knives out there in the price range you specify and some good ones.

Buck's Mayo TNT, The HK 29 by BenchMade, The Spyderco Caly III carbon fiber, the Kershaw knife already shown as well as several others in their line up like the very nice gents lockback in VG10 made in Moki Japan.

Wow. That Kershaw is a beauty! As a BM fan, I'd say BM 440, 707, 943, or the 960 you mentioned.

I have a BM 960 and really like it. It is very light and carries well. I didn't think that I would like the red handles, but it has grown on me. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be when I initially saw pics. I also have two Benchmites and they are great little knives, but they are also very small. The next time I have a little money to spend on a knife I'm gonna try a Klotzli.

I have a red 960, and a silver 960. both are great to carry, but i tend to carry the red more. don't know why. but you can generaly find both for around $120 or less on EBay. A little more maybe at the good dealers, but then you get their service and peace of mind that comes with it.

The Spyderco Kopa and Kiwi as mentioned above would be good choices, as would something from the Al Mar line, something from the Mcusta Gentleman's series (MC5xx), Lone Wolf Loveless City Knife, and several of the knives that A.G. Russell carries would all be worth looking at. Although I'm a Benchmade fan, there are a lot of knives that I like better for an office environment.

Another vote for the Kopa, with pearl, or coral.

I'm reallly llliking the lllook of the Callly III-ZDP and Carbon Fiber!

Buck Mayo TNT.

Kershaw Nakamura

Kershaw Blue Bump

William Henry Legacy

Protech Godson Tuxedo
