Dried out G-10 Scales...

I'm not a knifemaker but could use some advice. I have a production knife that is about 8 years old and the black G-10 scales are drying out and becoming lighter in color. Can you oil the scales? and if so what type of oil to use?

Oil them up. Any oil will work. Milteck, rem-oil ect...then wipe 'em down real well.

Plain ol' WD40 works nicely, too.
