I've been looking for a new EDC for a while, and finally narrowed it down to either the Drifter or the Lake 111. I love the look of both and have seen lots of great reviews for the Drifter, but have only seen one review of any kind for the Lake 111. Thoughts and opinions?

I picked up a drifter about two weeks ago, and I have to say I am in love with it. Comfortable and light, next time I head towards my local AG Russel I will snatch another one to put back. I have the G10 scale edition, the stainless one didn't have good grip to it.

I love the little Drifter. I bought one at a gun show here in town a few months ago and have been using it in my construction work. When I first handled it I noticed immediately positively it locked up, and how well everything lined up, and how incredibly strong that lock up actually is on the knife.

The stainless model is a real mini tank. I would suggest that you ease the bevels back on the knife to make it a better cutter. And over the hot summer, this knife never rusted in my pocket (many stainless blades do). I did discolor the blade a bit when opening some gallon bottles of acid, but it didn't do the knife any harm other than the discoloration itself. Hey.... it's a work knife!

I paid something silly for this knife like $21, and it is worth every penny.

I got Stainless Drifter too. I have to modify slightly its handle to get better grip. If you go Drifter do go for Stainless. G-10 version has liner lock and when you can get really solid build version with frame lock at same price why bother?

Drfter SS is my new love in knives. Its small as victorinoxes. Opens very well with wrist movement, has extremely strudy frame lock and its built, not like a tank but like the tiger tank...
