Finaly got this sucker done! Still have to make the sheath, but I tickled pink to get the knife done. Someone remind me why don't mess with cable very much. It only took 5 blades befor I got one I was satisfied with.

Drill line cable blade, minus the core, bronze gaurd, stacked leather and antler handle. The antler came out a little unusual, it's got a hint of green on the deeper brown coloring. Blade is 8" and 3/16" thick at spine. It cuts a lot better than most cable knives I've made, maybe there's something to drill line after all.

Whoa William! I really like this one. Can't comment on the discoloration of the antler, it should tone over later on, but the rest of this knife is a knockout!

Awesome blade!!! I looks like you nailed a nice hamon there.

Great knife!Really like the hamon, especially at the nose.

SLICK WILLY! ;)

Man, you are dead on with that bowie! I LOVE that upswept blade. Very well done.

Thanks Guys, I'm just happy to get it done. I'll try to post some better pics when I get in off the rig and get the sheath done. The pattern actualy ain't half bad, especialy considering the large size of the wires.

Really like the flow of the whole piece, the slight upsweep plus the handle curve is right on. The hammon makes it even better.
