drilling a hardened ontario machete.

I have a project I am about to start, which involves chopping a ontario machete. I will need to drill three new handle holes after I chop it. My question is: what kind of bit do I need for 3/16 inch holes?

Use a carbide bit with a cutting lubricant for best results. Make sure the part is securely fixtured so there is zero movement, use slower cutting speeds and consistant light pressure on the feed.
