Actually, they can do it with a standard drill and a VIKA attachment!!!

I've seen this done, and it seems like black magic.

Waterjet can cut it quick and painless, but them again I'm bias.
We blank shapes on waterjet and finish out on our CNC mill all the time.
Wonder how the demo drill on youtube above would do on 304 SS?
