Drilling stabilized wood

I had K&G stabilize a bit of spalted pecan for me, some scales and some blocks. I’m about to use a block for a Wa handle.
Any tips or particular bits to drilling ?
Drill speed ?

Medium speed and hit and with draw to keep the drilling cleaned out. They can build up pressure in the hole and blow back at you.
