My local mountaineering shop does not carry at the moment because they're on backorder the Scandinavian gransfors bruk that I'm waiting on they don't expect it till August....

wow.
my local woodworking shop has a few swedish axes, right now they have a few husqy small splitters and some new manufacture cross cuts. i'v been meaning to check their stock every once in a while to see if they have GBs in stock

small forest axes, before wranglerstar, were about $120. you might be lucky to find a wildlife hatchet for that price. last time i checked the SFA was about 150 and a scandi was about 165

The small Forest axe was 154 so the one you're looking at is probably 164 or at the most 174..Methuselah...

You are very right I almost bought one last year because the small Forest axe was 131 now it's 154 99

Ouch. When I picked my small forest up 8 years ago it was $95 Canadian, I don’t remember the going rates then but about 75-80USD now.
