If any of yall seen that twin-blade 112 one of one on evil bay a few days ago....Well its in Florida Now!!!!!!! The seller bought it from a Buck wholeseller(sic) a few years ago after the orig. buyer who ordered it died, and it sure looks like the real thing. Its on a 112 frame with twin locks, brass bolsters, faceing blade(clip) tang stamp is a right sideways T, drop point tang stamp reads 442 Idaho....3 brass scale pins a what looks like a brass rocker pin. Brass spacer between the blades is apox 1/16" ... It fits in a 112 sheath, its tight. Its the purttyest....Yes!!! it is a ODD ODD ODD 112 for sure! The seller aluded to getting it at cost,His words were "Way more than 200.00". Joe looked at the e;bay pic and said it was "inconclusive" Custom Shop Order untill a personal examantion was done. But it sure looks REAL! AND ITS MINE! 334 is down and between the two of us well get some good pics to share with everyone today,But it just came and and I had to share my JOY!!!!!!!!

Congrats on a successful find, bucksway! I am looking forward to the pics.

Don't look at me, DarrylS...I still have mine... :)

If you only spent $200 on it, then you got a deal...It cost me that much just in materials...

:eek:...I get the "willies" when ya read my mind like that Trax...:p:p...and I agree...$200 would be a steal...

Chickentrax!!!!!!! Farout!!!!!!! Did you make it yourself? It looks allmost the same...The brass spacer between the blades on mine looks a tiny bit thinner. Will yours fit in a regular 112 sheath?? Since I really am new to Bucks(less than a year) Can you tell me about yours? Is it a common conversion on 112s? Is yours from Buck? Darryls,do you have one too...Lets hear the story! If only a Buck could talk...

The seller said his computer was burning up with e;mails and phone calls, but nobody pulled the triger for 2 bills...Till I did. When I got him on the phone he said he bought itn form a Buck wholeseller, till that point I wasent serious about it,you can have ANYTHING made (THATS REALLY OK TOO!!) but there was a chance then It really came from Buck,it belonged in my oddball 112 collection.

I think that anything you can imagine Buck could do, they did do...Mine is homemade...the middle liner is .060" brass, same thickness as the middle of the outer [112] liners...When I first started posting here, there were threads in the archives of others doing dual blade 110's & 112's...So there are some out there...But Buck employees made their own customs independent of the Custom Shop (and probably unknown or unapproved by Buck), so that may be a "one-off Buck" as the seller claimed...

As to whether yours is an authentic Buck...If a Buck employee made it on Buck machinery, doesn't that make it a "real Buck" regardless if it was cataloged or inventoried??? :)

It may even be one of the prototypes that Joe had to dump during the move... :D

Its going to Post Falls for Joe to take a look at it...I really like it! It just fits so well with my "ODDBALL" theme. So many things are possible with Buck over the years ...I sure do wish there was a book that would have ALL the facts/models/story/lists....Case folks have it easy!!! Whats the story on "Dumping" ????

Whats the story on "Dumping" ????

When Buck moved from El Cajon to Post Falls, they had to decide what to keep and move, and what to scrap. I guess they had to keep it to a minimum or pay to have more stuff hauled. Lots of "oddities" were probably tossed ;)

I know some Ionfusion fillets were... :( and some D2 steel 118 blades... and...LOL

I seen a pic of Joe "dumpster diving" !! I would have too....One 5 gallon bucket of "STUFF" could be ?????????

I really like playing with the new one ! Its in the center of one of 334s old display cases he outgrew years ago The case holds about 18-20 112s without crowding to much. I move them around every day! The wife laughs at me but I dont care.Nice toys for nice boys...Yep, I likem dem 112s!
