So a few weeks back, some one stole my bk14.

It is time to replace it but I want a drop leg paddle sheath setup.

I have a bk16 and took a blackhawk paddle off an old holster and "looped" the becker sheath on to the paddle, making it a paddle sheath.

Im looking for this set up for several reasons.

One is my weight, im fat, simple. Belts hurt and I flat out refuse to buy a new bigger one, I will cut weight somehow.

Having the paddle allows me to adjust where the sheath hangs at any given time, plus, I have some pants that have a sown in belt that I cant thread through a regular sheath.
Having said all that, does anyone know of a paddle that I can attach to the factory sheath?, or an aftermarket paddle sheath?.

Thanks for your time.

Blackhawk has several types on their website I think, molle compatible and both black, desert, and different other colors..

DerekH has done something similar, but with a soft drop leg system. I have an older SOE subload that I'm toying with.

I looked all over the b.h. site but found nothing, do you happen to have a link?....

Damn, I have an extra paddle. I had not considered this. I might try to rig one up somehow. Doesn't seem it would be that difficult.

Well, I have a drop leg Blackhawk Serpa holster system but I did not try it. The hole spacing for the belt paddle and the drop leg are the same. I tried the factory sheath on a standard belt Blackhawk paddle and the factory sheath just doesn't have the right hole spacing for good low belt level attachment. It will attach in about two places but rides so high and at an odd angel its not very practical. I will admit though I could be wrong. I only did a quick eyeball, and I can't see like I used to.

However, I did mount a custom pocket sheath to the paddle. Pictured here. Took about 3 minutes to do. I know this doesn't help much but I just thought I'd whip it out anyway. For this particular sheath you can see the bottom "rail/holes" would probably work too but only if you want the sheath to ride horizontal. Sorry for the crappy pics.

Nice!, that looks promising 1103!....

Any more input anyone?.....

I'll post pics of my bk16 set up when I get home.....
