A friend of mine wanted me to make a knife sheath leg drop so that his knife was visible for San Jose P.D. so I thought that sounds like a good project. about 2 hours of work this is what we came up with. I used already chrome tanned black leather.
this is it open. I used line 24 snaps for the closure.

this is it from the back.

this fits in the side pen pocket of the work pants he wears.

Yeah, the open carry laws for fixed blades is pretry bad in San Jose. If your shirt covers your fixed blade at all they can take it from you. After having a few knives taken we came up with this. My buddy uses his knife to cut packing bands most of the time. As fAr as it goes a EDC fixed blade is almost like asking to be stopped by the PD. They have a job to do too , I know. I'm not on meaning to talk bad about the PD.

Awesome! I though you made a whole sheath at first, I was like, "where's the rest of it?!"

I like how you executed it. Hard to argue that it's concealed now.

Nice work, but a word of caution...a friend of mine made a similar rig some years back for an old Marbles knife. Upon getting in the passenger seat of a car he closed the door, unbeknownst to him the knife was hanging in the door sill. Snapped the blade clean in half.

yeah I might need to let him know that. I think he usually rides his motor cycle.
thanks for all the kind words guys.
