These knives are light and fast, They are thin for choppers but still chop well with the convex grind without getting stuck like one would think. They are basically all around camp knives, the 1/8 steel can tackle just about any task around the camp. questions or comments welcome. First I'll Take It post gets em.

First up is a Drop point camp knife,
Specs
1/8 1095 convex sabre with secondary edge
etched
mirindiba scales/ nat. micarta pins, stainless tube
Handle measures 5 1/4, blades measures 7 1/4.
Balance point on this guy is about 3/8" in front of the plunge.

Next is a bowie like camp knife
specs are
1/8 1095 convex sabre with swedge
etched
Walnut burl scales with micarta pins and stainless tube
Handle measures 5", Blade measures 7 1/4
Balance point is 1/4 in front of plunge.

Nice work Matt, I've been watching what you have been making since you started posting here and it just keeps getting better. :thumbup:
 
I love the lines on that first one. I've never thought about having a knife that long and thin other than machetes. I bet it's quick and light in snap cuts.
 
Yes it is Mist, I have one similar in a dangler sheath that lashes just above my knee at the bottom of the sheath. It is light and fast, it is versatile being able to chop and slice well.
 
I was thinking along similar lines as Mist -- that camp knife looks dandy and functional.
