Finished this one up for a customer today, pretty happy with the way that it turned out. 3/16" thick 1095, with a differential heat treat. Shadowboxed cocobolo scales, and a leather sheath. The sheath is kinda rough, it's my first in leather. Looks like I'm going to need some new tools to really get it right! I know it doesn't match up to all of the work we see here, but I'm pretty happy with it.

That has a cool look to it. I prefer a little more "beef" in my hands...but very good looking! Nice temper line, BTW!

Buying tools is half the fun - keep up the good work

Hey... are you the same Josh Powell from Portland that sold me THIS back in 2007?
If so, you're one of the makers who inspired me to give knifemaking a shot. This blade has ridden in the center console of my car for the past seven years, and I still think it is super cool.
And I still want a tutorial on how you wrapped the handle. It's still as tight as the day I bought it. ;)
