Here's one I did a month or so ago but never posted.

DrpPtHunter.jpg

Specs:
Steel: BG42 Hand Rubbed Finish
Blade Length: 5" from end of bolsters
Overall: 9 5/8"
Handle: Stabilized Dyed Maple Burl (a gorgeous piece of wood)
Bolsters: 416SS Mirror Finish and Dovetailed
Pins: 416SS & Mosaic

Thanks for looking,
Sean

Very nice Shawn. I really like the lines and the wood looks like it has a lot of character to it.

Thanks man. Ya the wood looks great on this knife. I added a mosaic pin in the middle which I commonly do, it goes well with the 416SS pins on either end.

That handle looks great. Did you have a run of requests for BG-42:D
Cheers

Ya it does seem like that!

I'm really liking BG42. It holds an edge better than ATS-34 but isn't so hard that you can't put a mirror finish on it when you want to.

Sean,
I seen on your Web site your designing some folders?
Thats fun stuff. I'll be watching for those.
Can I ask who did the engraving on your knives? They look great, nice job -

Thanks very much.

Yes I have made some folders. Haven't had time to get back to it in a while now. They are definitely interesting, hope to get into it more.

Some engraving was done by Darren Reeves and some by Bruce Shaw. The one on the main page is Bruce Shaw.
