About the only thing I see wrong is that its not mine. Very nice job. The ironwood figure gives it some kick. It isn't a "fancy knife" but, has a simple elegance. Jim

Dave,

I just love the clean and trim look of your work. It's stylish and elegant yet "simple" and functional. I'm saying simple in the way one might of the timeless beauty of shaker furniture. So how will this puppy get sheathed? Can I ask you, how you join the guard to the blade, solder, JB Weld, or...?

BTW, congrats on the photo of one of your knives in the Oct 2008 Blade mag! I still remember your working with me at Indian George's hammer-in with gratitude and pleasure.

All the best, Phil

Thank you guys

Phil
the guard is soldered on. it was my pleasure to help you and if you have any questions don't hesitate to give me a call and if you get back this way you can take a ride up north a bit to my shop any time

It's a wonderful knife. the only thing I can say from a users point of view is that the finger guard extends lower then the blade. Having said that, I think if there were two side by side, one with a shorter guard and this one, buyers would like the visual balance of this one better and buy it rather the the short guard.

Hey Dave,

I was thinking just that. Thanks for the invite! Where are you again?

All the best, Phil
