I'm with Smoke. I was hoping for more drop and less belly. Too much belly is what has kept me from buying the original model...

Still looks nice though.

The looks and belly are just right in my book, especially when it comes to skinning dead things that use to be alive (the deer on our hunting lease are cringing right about now

).

What will the blade steel be? (440v or 420v please, please).

I have to agree with Smoke as well. I had hoped for a little more drop. But, I like it anyway.

And, I think the steel is still supposed to be VG-10.

Same type of sheath. Should be about in a few months.

About the "drop & belly", Bill's design. We don't mess with collaboration designs much, aspecially on the pattern.

James, thanx again.

OBTW, even though it has more belly and less drop that I had hoped, it definitely is on my list of wants now. Very nice.... it kinda is growing on me, ya know?

Sal,

Once again.

Very Moran and a fitting knife for Spyderco to do.

Moran trusted you to do it right, and you have.

Congratulations.

Spyderco, never go away.

Sometimes I have a bit of knife sorrow, because I would love to have an Axis Lock with a round opening hole. But then, when I see knives like the Vesuvius, Lum Chinese, Starmate, Military, Meerkat, Navigator, Goddard, and Mouse, I know that the round hole has no better steward than Spyderco. Thank you again.

Can I be the dissenting voice and say the Moran handles (old and new) offend the eye and the hand? Thanks, that's better

I hear these babies are in stock now but they are waiting on sheaths. Can't wait to get one. Hope I can get Moran to sign the box for me. I got him to sign my leather sheath for my other Moran this year. It is really cool.

Looks like there is another Moran in my future. This one looks great.

Whoah! Getting Uncle Bill to sign the box on black and sheath on white marker marker is a cool thing! I personally think that having both points are good investments. I just wonder if there are any price differences between the old point and new one.. But again -- Bill Moran's spydies ROCKS!

Looks nice. Perhaps its only from the pic but the exposed blade looks as if it is slightly swept up starting from where it joins the handle. In this regard I was hoping it dropped a bit downwards.

May still buy one though...
