Ron,
I've been seeing this picture of a Drop Point Recondo around the Forums here and I was wondering if this is, in fact, a variation in the works or just hopeful dreaming from those of us who LOVE the Recondo design, but haven't the desire or need for a semi-serrated Tanto point version.
Ever since I first laid eyes on this baby, with it's BG-42 blade and VERY useful looking handle design, I've been wanting one. However, no plain edge version can be found.

I'm hoping SOG will be developing this Drop Point plain edge design for the rest of us who are looking for what I feel may be the ultimate medium size fixed blade on the market.

This is great news Ron.
I am convinced that this knife in a plain edge drop point format would do well for SOG. Not that I am any kind of marketing expert, I am not of course, it just seems other companies doing medium size fixed blades are doing rather well with their renditions. You guys have them beat already in the materials and design dept. IMO. Time to take this knife to the next level.

Let there be light, pardon the Drop Point one.

Hi Guys,

No update...no news. We are working on new releases that have "officially" been announced, but, I have been assured that this is almost a sure thing. When it becomes a sure thing, the only other question will be when. Unless someone surprises me, don't expect it before the end of summer, maybe next fall, or a 2002 release.

I hope you understand "first things first."
