Drop Point RMDs

Wanted to know when the DP RMDs came out and if there is a way to still acquire them? Custom shop possibly? Any info would be highly appreciative, thx!

You could only order them through the custom shop. They take a standard rmd blank and drop the point on it. Shortens the blade a bit.

They appear to high (blade height) to take a standard blank and remove stock to accommodate the drop point but I could be wrong. Seems they just don't cut the top 1/3rd of the spine from the point which creates the clip style.

Maybe it doesn't seem that way, but that's how it was done. A bunch of folks over at the Swamp Rat forum (the Brotherhood) placed orders with the custom shop for drop point RMDs and that is how they did it. I think they did the same with a few R6s. There are photos comparing DP RMDs with standard RMDs and it is very clear a standard RMD blank was used. I don't think the custom shop is currently taking orders anyway.

amflud is 100% correct.

There is one on the exchange right now. It is Worldwood's old setup that is combined with a scrapivore and esee pouch and arrowhead. It's the one with the green and black G10. I wish I had the coin to drop on it, I'd grab it as a backup. I can't remember ever seeing another DMD hit the EX.
