Aloha ALL,

I got my Boker USA catalog and no DPT?

I know Boker Germany still carries it, but found out that it got disco'd here in the USA.

To all who own one, ENJOY that WIDE, high grind, lightsaber SHARP model, and thank you to all who bought one!!! Cripes...

TJT, how many more are in stock? Will Boker Germany supply the USA office with them should you run out?

God bless and mahalo much all!

Is that the 2009 Catalogue Chad??

Sounds strange . Did you check the magnum section??

Greets Maarten;)

I thought the Trance DP would out-sell the Trance EDP??!!
Extreme Drop-Point. :D

I'll look and let you know.
As far as Germany shipping more, it would depend on how many were in demand. I can't really answer that one, as it depends on higher levels than I.

Boy Chad, I'm surprised Boker doesn't give you some say in these decisions. I would think your designs are an important part of Boker's sales, at least based on what I see on this forum.

I may run the risk of stepping on some toes but I'm going to be honest here.
If it weren't for the CLB designs, I would not have purchased a Boker, period. None of their other products interests me in the least so to me it is indeed a sad day. Not to say that I won't buy another CLB labeled Boker (still eying the Hyper) but seeing how they treat one of their (better) designers certainly makes me think twice.

The DP is my favorite model of the Trance, and I am sad to see it go, but it is not like we are dropping all of Chads designs. We still carry several of his designs, as well as new designs from him. Let's just make sure to keep an eye on Chads new stuff, and keep the sales going, and there will be CLB designs for years to come.

In answer to the earlier post I made, we have 400 of them left.
Given the sales trend for the last year, unless there is a run on them, that will last a while. So while they are not in the catalog, we will be able to sell them for a while to come.

Terry, thanks for the clarifications you have offered in your post.

Although I am sad to see the DP Trance go away in the US, my main issue is with the fact that CLB had to find out about this through a catalog. That was in poor taste in my opinion but that is just me.
Perhaps it was an honest oversite that was hopefully rectified.

Actually, I found out about it the same way, so I understand. Unfortunately, there are a few layers higher than I that make these decisions, and all that go with them.

I can say with confidence that Chad's line of knives will be my constant companions during college. I look forward to seeing "the next new thing!" :)

And thank YOU!

Be advised that I do have *some say* in what goes on with my designs for Boker, and we have a GREAT relationship! Sometimes, communication IZ sketchy, but it's alright...in the end, we usually get back on "the same page".

I have received a lot of comments like yours Gespenst, and I appreciate that a LOT...thank you.

God bless guys and hats off to the owners of the DPT!!!

Great pictures of my favorite CLB design. Chad, so long as you are still involved, I will continue to be interested in the Boker products. Keep up the great work.

Just got my trance in, and its amazing. I woulda easily payed 60+ for this knife. when paper testing I could easily cut across the whole sheet lengthwise down the middle. no ripping or tearing. The lock is solid as a vault, and Its so thin I forget its in my pocket. also im a believer in tip down carry, but this knife feels much better tip up. Chad, you are an awesome designer, and from what I hear a great guy. Thanks for the great products.

I now own a Sublcaw, and a trance. Next is the Hyper.:D
