Does anyone make one? Friend of mine is looking for something along those lines. I personally dont have any suggestions for him. Oh yeah, 100 bucks seems to be his max

Cold Steel makes the Pendleton Hunter in VG-1 for a decent price. Not exactly what you were looking for, but it might be of interest.

I know the Spyderco Moran was one of his choices. Personally I really dig the Falkie -thanks for the suggestion

Keep 'em coming men

I think that there's no better choice in your price range and specs than the Fallkniven F1...it's a true beast and handles anything you throw at it! Just make sure he either knows how to or learns how to sharpen a convex edge properly...

Fallkniven F1 or H1.

Right now he is leaning toward the H1 but not quite sure if its convex or not. Does anybody know for sure? I'm getting confliciting info from retailers desciptions and photos.
He prefers the latter because of the Lansky system he is using now to sharpen

Just got my H1 today. I am super impressed!

Comfortable handle and an awesome blade shape.
Convex and scary sharp. I wanted vg10 because I wanted easy sharpening.

I am leaving it in my hunting pack and calling it good.

Best 100.00 knife I have ever owned. I read the f1 is awesome, and may pick one up someday.

Once I get it bloody on that 180" buck I can tell you for sure:)

Even though it's VG-1 not VG10 , I agree with the Cold Steel Pendleton hunter or better yet the Master Hunter. I bought my Master Hunter for $100 and US prices are usually less.

If you can get a Fallkniven (F1 or H1) for $100 or less , you're laughing. I've never seen them at that price.

If you're still looking. AG Russell has a Deer Hunter in VG-10 (along with AUS-8 or D2) for $55 (the AUS-8 is cheaper). 4" blade. I had one and it was excellent.
There's also the Bird & Trout knife. It's the same thing, but with a 3" blade. $45 for D2, ATS-34, or VG-10, or $30 for AUS-8.
