Drs save man in Nepal, Yaks fended off with stick

Not a very good idea for most any one in high altitude. I have went on some trips alone but, I wouldn't recomend such for the inexperienced hiker.

Now that I am older it probably wouldn't be a good idea for me either.

Thanks for the article, I'd say the man was lucky that he was found by the people who did. Wasn't his time to go I'd say.:)

Oh sure. The yaks show up to offer their help and are beaten away with sticks

LOL! :D

I KNEW the Yak thread would sniff you out Alan;) :D

Seriously though, what would yaks want with an injured hiker? Do Nepali Yaks eat meat:eek:  :D

They got lucky. Yaks are very tempermental critters -- and curious at times. I don't think their motive was black.

I have heard that Balinese Hindu do eat cows. Perhaps this was a group of Balinese Yaks?

Did you also know that Yaks can not give milk? Yaks are male, Dri are female.

It is like saying "bullmilk." Hmmm that could be a new euphemism.

Let me be the first to try out Bill's new saying:

"Evil yaks? Sounds like bullmilk to me!" :D
