Drunk ordered a Ratmandu

Yup.

I've been eying the RMD for quite some time now. I knew it was going to happen, but last night, with the help of the good people from Buffalo Trace bourbon, I ended up putting in my order. Grey with Tan canvas. I'm not the least bit sad about it since I know the RMD will rock. It was just a bit sooner than I anticipated.

Now the only remaining question is what sheath. I'm torn between Kydex or leather. With the Kydex, I can see it more easily as attached to the strap on a Maxpedition bag. Leather seems to lend more options for belt carry or bag strap attachment. With the Kydex options, I really don't see them as being very comfortable when attached to a belt. When outside, I tend to be canoeing, so I'm usually sitting. Kydex seems less ideal. A dangler seems to be a better alternative, which seems to call for leather.

I guess Chuddy Bear or Skystorm or Ramoscustomes will be getting some business soon enough. Typically, I research things a ton before I pull the trigger. I may need to lock the liquor cabinet until I select a sheath.

You might see if steelnut is still doing sheaths. All of my SR and Busse are in danglers from him.
 
Normally doing something while drunk will lead to tears. In this case it will lead to joy. Post some pics of you using it when you get it!
 
Did you remember that you ordered? what you ordered, or did you need to go
back and check in the morning?(afternoon, whatever)

Fortunately, I used Paypal so they certainly have my correct information. And, since it hit my account, I know I only bought one.

Hrm... perhaps I need more than one! That may be on next bender.
 
That's cool brother. It sounds like a nice color combination. I use my knives in the rain a lot and kydex works better because I get mold on belts that are hanging in the closet.

There are plenty of attachment options if you go plastic. I use a drop-leg extender on and a thigh strap on some. Some I use nylon molle rigs. Others go with horizontal carry.

You could also try out the leather/kydex hybrids - those can be very nice, IMO.
