Hey everybody, my latest Busse I have been eyeballing is the DSF. Now, I am a bit confused...what is the difference between the DSF and the DSSF? Also, have they ever been released in full production or have they only been available at shows? I would love to see a full production release or rerelease of them!! I have heard that they are one of the best all-around Busse blades regarding a balance of length and weight.

They are the same knife but the DSSF adds the "stealth" with black coating and scales.

The DS(S)F is definitely a lot of knife for the weight.

Thanks Vox, I thought I had read that somewhere on here awhile back, but I can't remember. I would love to have a black coated one with a full height flat grind and hand shaped pumpkin g10 one day:D

Love my DSSF - weight/balance ratio near perfect. Newer cut a thing with it, except holes in the air...

What's wrong with you Hogs????
No pix for engineerciv?!!?!?!? ;)

And ya can't go wrong with a Terror Monkey DSF either:

DSF with micarta. IMHO the G10 is not grippy enough for the handle design.

Handles on my DSSF is made from black paper micarts, not G-10...but more slippery, just like G-10. Believe that all DSSF is made from that.

Even though I like the overall design, (and own both a DSSF, and a TMDSF), I do find the handles less than ideal. How about that blade with a TAC handle? Or the current TGLB handle, which I find to be near perfect...;-)

If you want to see the wide variety of DSF's (and other Busses') once available, log onto the Busse Bad Mojo site, and prepare to be racked with pangs of desire!

I really like the handles on the DSSF. I'm normally not a big fan of paper or g10 but the DSSF feels really good in the hand.

An iconic blade that can trace its roots back to some of Jerry's early works. One of my more used blades as well.

I'ld be in for three or four! I wish the Custom Shop would do them at least....

+1 to that  -and please not more talk about how good a knife the DSSF is, otherwise i have to pull mine out from the safe and put it into use...
