Those baby chitlangis are really starting to grow on me. But, a knife so stylishly rendered is obviously more suited for ladies and gentlemen of quality. A rough old cob like me, toting a knife that pretty, would be like sticking chromed wheels on a humvee. Still, even an abject knucklehead can't help but look at them fullers and handle embellishments, and admire the beauty and craftsmanship of them. Nice knife. ;)

A 22" CAK is very rare, and at 42 oz. they did a great job of keeping the weight down. The Evergreen wood is just a bonus. Remember than one that was what, 60 ounces? Really nice knife, and a hell of a chopper I'll bet.

Sarge, the Chitlangi is the only model I still have in a 12" size. I sold all my Sirupate's and AK's and others in that size last year to buy more goodies. Because of the great handle on that model the smaller size still works great for me. You are right and they look great.

I keep coming back to look at the Ang Khola, but I hesitate. This past weekend, while my wife was out of town on a well-earned trip, I showed my boys the 24" Ang Khola I picked up a few weeks back. After my wife returned home, when we were all gathered in the kitchen, one of the boys barked out, "Dad showed us one of his new khukuris while you were gone!" My wife gave me the look that one can't really describe in words, but there is no mistaking the unspoken message. Note to self: Man, I have got to go over the "khukuri code of silence" with those guys again. ;) :D

A gentleman of quality has spoken. Will ye be takin' one lump, or two in yer tea m'lord? :D

Just teasing, I can imagine the handle is "grippier" than my beloved 12" Siru ala Kumar, and no one can deny, fullers are just plain sexy. ;)

I don't know about sexy, but it sure is elegant.
There's an age-old division about using a beautiful tool in the field for every day jobs. Some say no, some say celebrate life and 'yes'. Of the people who would use the beautiful tool in the dirt, one just doesn't give a yahoo and the other cares deeply.

I still remember with happiness Dave Rishar bashing things with his Tarwar.

Oh- is a cloudy day in Reno equal to a rainey day in Georgia?

Only if the Pips sing backup ;)

Mmmm... That's a beefy CAK, though if the comments are correct (and I'm sure they are), there's much beefier to be had. Somehting in the 22-24" 40-60 oz range is definately in my future.

*Edit: Did anyone ever figure out if the evergreen wood is softer than what we're used to on khuks? Yangdu? Anyone who's bought one care to comment? Thanks!

very nice dui chirra there, and 22 inch CAK? nice.

since i recently bought a draw knife, i'm thinking of that area near the cho to be used as such on some models, so on these two, i'm thinking... mmm, the cho is in the way kinda. may not be cho creep, but yar, that cho need to move way back imho. hah :>

the baby chits. gentleman or no, thems are REALLY nice. i want to see those become full-time items :)
