I haven't used my FBM yet, (winter + nagging injury,) but here's a couple thoughts:
The DTBM isn't small by any means, but the FBM is a meaningful step up (and would expect it to be in chopping). I'd say the FBM is a good 3-4oz heavier than an unmodified DTBM. Pretty much every dimension on the FBM: blade length, width, overall length, grip area, choil size, weight; is larger except the blade stock, ~0.25" vs. ~0.26", coated.
The fusion handle feels a bit large in my average-sized mitts. I could probably hand sand the micarta and improve the grip feel to suit, but the DTBM and Ergo 2 handles set the bar really high, (of course, subjectively) and the fusion just may not be my favorite. I really should use it before I say that, but I have held it a bunch.
