well, this is quite a remarkable knife. Just wondering if anyone actually use this beast (please note that I didn't even mention its price ;)

Belive it or not $600 isn't terrible for a custom knife. I wonder how much of that he did by hand? Duh.... he must have CNCed the cutouts.
 
The idea about saw teeth on knife blades puzzles me, why try to use a short little knife as a saw...the stroke is too short to cut effectively? Given that the stroke of the cut is limited to about two or three inches a single tooth would be as effective as five or six teeth. I carry a small wire saw when I am in the bush because it is effective and is small enough to fit in my wallet.

With a proper tooth pattern, 2-3" can easily give significant sawing power, many to one times greater than a wire saw.

Those are some very nice looking sheaths, but the knives are a bit too unconventional for my taste. Although, I'd have to try one to know for sure.
 
If anyone's really interested, why not ask him to show us a video of him using one of those as a saw?
 
Jerry VanCook is working on an article for "Tactiacl Knives" all about Carillo's knives. I'm sure he'll give them a workout.
