What knives have a serrated blade and plain edge (separate)? I don't really care about the price point, want a decent (at least something like AUS8) steel, and don't want the SOG Bipolar.

Steel is not that great (440A). But, it's quite elegant, as can be expected from Bob Lum. Yes, this cheap knife was designed by the late Bob Lum. At $21 it's well worth the money.

I've got one of these and it's a pretty nice little knife. EDC it every once in a while.

I have heard good things about the Byrd Wings. Another offering from Spyderco would be the Micro Dyad. It is considerably more expensive than the Byrd but you get more premium materials if that is what you fancy. There is also the Mini Dyad and regular Dyad. Both of which have been discontinued however you can still find the larger sized Dyads on ebay from time to time.
