Wish I had known more about this, but I am not really much of a collector, and I can't say any of my folding knives have been "coke bottles." I have, however seen lots of hunting knives, where, if you look at the handle shape, from the TOP, it is kind of shaped like a coke bottle. Is it correct to refer to this particular handle shape as a "coke bottle" shape, or is that term reserved for the coke bottle folders, the ones that often have the jigged bone?

It's just a description of the shape, use it where you see the similar shape.

Thanks for the information, everybody.

Generally speaking coke bottle refers to the handle profile when seen from the side, not the spine. That is how it has historically been used.
