Dual survival Machette

EDIT: I'm a moron. Skip this post and read the ones that follow.

Go to YouTube and do a search for "Pathfinder Mods to the Ontario Machete and Sheath."

I think that's the one he must use on the show, but I can't say for sure b/c I don't have cable and have never watched it.

The machete used does indeed look to be an indigenous made knife. Spine is thicker than any comercial machete I've come accross.

They must have done several shoots for the raftmaking sequence. The Mora kept changing from around daves neck to Cody's...like foru to six times.

the machete used is a square tip bolo and is mostly likely made in laos.

Looked similar to these:

I noticed the mora switching too

Was that an ESEE Lite Machete being used in tonight's episode ? sure looks like it.

Yeah, I went back, and saw that too. Wonder why he didnt use one of his logo ones....Cool to see ESEE on the tube.

As soon as I saw the handle poking out I thought it was an ESEE light machete. I thought I saw the logo down by the handle as well.

Your now talking about a different episode. The one I was refering to he was in Laos and using a bolo like the one pictured in post #6

We had a thread on this a while ago, but the closest I could find is the Martindale 12" Crocodile Jungle Machete:

I really dig the native Laos one used by Dave Canterbury in that episode. It looks like something you can buy cheap at the marketplace.
