Duane sent us this one to take a pic of. It's his new "AL" model named in honor of Alex Lowe, a true adventurer and world reknown mountaineer.

This is the experimental model. Designed for extreme outdoor/backcountry use. The final versions will feature a lanyard/carabiner slot in the handle.

Enjoy the pre-view.

I'm pissed! i have a Drawing in my "knives to make someday" notebook that has a scary resembalence to that knife!

Ok who has been going through my stuff?

Dont you hate it when this happens

BTW beautiful knife

Duane,
Congrats on such a lovely piece. Great choice of name for what this piece is going to be used for.
PM,I going for the one with the carabiner slot in the handle once they are out!

Warmest wishes,
Oliver

Yeah... Alex Lowe was killed in a fall recently IIRC. I saw it mentioned on a program on TV. I believe it happened within the past 5 years.

Duane... Great looking knife! I know some folks (myself included) who would LOVE to have one. If you have any more pics of it, Post 'em! Got a ballpark figure on what it is going to run?

Great looking knife. I am partial to recurves, especially for defensive blades, This one looks like it would be well suited in that role as well, especially if the top edge is sharpened. Please give us some specs on this one, length, weight, etc. Most important-when can I get one?!!

Thanks,

Chris

I must admit, I like that a lot. At first glance, I was reminded of a Harry McEvoy thrower. It has that sort of profile, handle assembly, and heft. I wouldn't throw this one though. :D

Damn Duane, thats one hell of a knife. It needs TS though. With some para cord. Damn I just might have to get one of those for myself, after I get a D-9 and a MCS-6.5.

Good to go Duane, thats one BA knife.

Matt
