can anyone point me to photos or other descriptions of the Schrade Duck Stamp series of knives? I believe that there were 17 knives in the series. i may have all of them, I just want to make sure that they are original aas far as knives and stamps go. Thanks from Baghdad

I'll put one together for you. Might take a day or so. Never worked on that group.
Take care.

Welcome, and thank you for your service.:thumbup:

If you go to this fine site.....

http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/

.....and look in the "Schrade Flyers" section, it looks like Larry has all of the flyers for the Duck Stamps except for the last one. I'm not sure they ever did a flyer before things ended badly, but I don't know.

Start in the '80s, on page #9 for the first issue, and move forward through the 2000s. Very cool stuff!!

I did find a picture of the last one, and I've borrowed it from an online site.....

Maybe others can add more.

OOOOOOOPS! A slow second...SIGH! :o

El Lobo, thanks for the info. i have seen the pic that you borrowed. i have also gone round and round with the people that are selling that knife. I know that the stamp shown in that pic isnt the one issued with the knife and have told them about it. they're reply was that it was the only one they could find to throw in the box.

Irv, I would appreciate anything that you can do.

Yes, I thought it strange that things don't match.....but it was the only one I could find.
Back to what I mentioned.....nothing actually was ever issused??

Sorry.....just not sure?? :(

Let's see what lrv finds.....

I noticed the information for the 2003/2004 package says Money Clip, and that does look like a money clip. Perhaps, in a change, there was no matching stamp planned?

Weak and speculative, I know...

Thanks for grouping those Larry...

The first Schrade Duck Stamp issue was in 1984, the 50th anniversary of the first Federal Duck Stamp, designed by Jay "Ding" Darling in 1934. I don't have an illustration of this one, but it was two mallard ducks landing on a pond. A couple of years went by before they began making them as a current annual series.
