Hello.

Im in the process of downsising my edc prefered size. gone from 4 to 3,5 and now even a little smaller. I may eventually enter the peanut stage. However, I have since long time owned a stainless schrade about 3 1/3 that has handle of brass and oak. Its a stockman. The sheapfoot is kind of oversized for the rest of the bladesizes and this is the best feature with it. The knife has a duckstamp and I have seen others with the same stamp. Can anyone tell something about the line of knifes. Mine is since about mid to late 90-ties but I have seen duckstamped schrades at least from early 80-ties also.

Great knife to use as an edc in town but mabye a little small when it comes to my interests regarding mountains, woods and lakes.

It is probably a "Ducks Unlimited" limited edition. Sounds like it is similar to an 834UH or 34OT.

Yep. Sounds like a DU. They have great Oak on the handles. As for size, if it's a bit small for woods work, they made a matching trapper and a few fixed blades as well :D

Thank you,

This Duck unlimited, does it stand for something or is it just astetic.

And yes, the oak is just above average for that material. I also think that its like a 34 OT. Nice knife. I am kind of troubled I never got a Schrade stockman when they still was around. They was abeled to be found here in sweden during the 80-ties. I have a muskrat 77 OT, I like most of what it stands for but dont realy care for souch thin blades in a 4 frame.
I like the size and I like carbon steel so a 34 OT would have been nice but on the other hand it was way to small for me to concider in those days.

Bosse, DU is a wetlands and waterfowl conservation group. They've been around since the 1930s. From what I know of them, they're a pretty good organization.
