Came to work this morning to find the planter in front of the store had been vandalized. Plants and mulch everywhere. I had some plants go to seed last year and spread nicely. Been growing them all winter in the shop, along with some bentgrass from the #9 green at Copper Creek GC and an oak tree grown from a 10 year old acorn from #3 at Waveland GC. They ate all the grass, only a few green blades left but the tree is fine. However, they tore out a bunch of the plants and left an egg in the hole. I know it was a couple ducks. I walked up last week and was startled when two big ducks flew away, almost hitting me.

Still only two eggs this morning. I always thought they would sit on the eggs, but they are only here a few minutes during the day.

keep taking the eggs and she will keep laying them. duck eggs are good eating and make good noodles. you might have to get some long sticks and put them in place to make it hard for them to move around the planter.

They dont sit on them until the "clutch" of eggs is finished. Then they ait for like 17 days or so until ducklings pop out.

Those eggs in your planter are excellent table fair and the two should make a mighty fine omelet.
