Does anyone have any info on this nice knife .It has a imitation bone handle. It also has a duck head cut in the blade and 2 ducks stamped on the blade. The back bone has been scalloped.

Back to the top. I just bought one of these, and would like to know when it was made. It has the Uncle Henry Staglon grips, with a Ducks Unlimited oval shield in place of the normal double bomb shield. The sheath has the DU duck head embossed in gold. Any help?

Show us. One I have with a "CI" cutout. Conservation International, a DU Canada affiliate.

I have this photo of one of my 15OT.
The other one with the duck head,[cut in the blade] has never been out of the plastic or white box.

Codger, here is the seller's pic, I haven't received the knife yet. No paperwork.

So far these are, to me anyway, a mystery. At least as far as what was produced and shipped when. They are all stainless and have been laser cut and used a broaching die on the spine. Mine came out of the factory liquidation in 2005. Was it a sample? Were they all rejected samples? Or SFO pieces for an unfulfilled order?

Back in 2004, I had been collecting Schrade knives for 30 years.
Most of my collection were 4" knives, from early 60's to late 90 's.
When Schrade closed down, I turned to collecting any thing made after 2000.
Time after time, I tried to find any information about Schrade, from 2000 to 2004.
So here is some of my collection, that may help with the 2000 to 2004 time line.

The SD1 [D'holder] and the SLW1 were sold as a set or individually in 2000.
Schrade started to make more and more SFO items - I believe this helped to close down Schrade.
I have been told, some of Schrade's big buyers sent shipments back to Schrade.

The knife here in question is a "15 DUC LTD" my two 15 DUCs came in sleeved white boxes clearly stamped in gold "15DUC LTD" the knife with the "DU" cutout, I would say 2002-03.
The "15 DUC LTD" [same white box] with the "duck head" cutout, I would say 2003-2004.
My Duck Display states " Schrade have been making knives and tools for 95 years" this dates the Display to 2000. The Pro Hunter in the Display "SDUPH2", the blade etch has two ducks flying.

However, I have two mint "SDUPH2s" in sleeved white boxes - their blade etches are 2003 and 2004.

It was roughly 2002 when they began laser cutouts on the blades? Broaching die same time?

Thanks, kg, I wasn't fortunate enough to get the box with mine, just the knife and sheath.
