I had a customer bring me this knife in unfinished condition. It had the black plastic scales on it,but the bolsters were rough and the knife never hafted. We came up with some nice preban elephant ivory. It sure made a pretty folder.Hes going to get the bolsters engraved and give it to a lifelong friend. They were both involved with Ducks Unlimited and avid duck hunters.I thought ya'll might enjoy a look. :D

Great custom! I like the contrast between the blued blade and the handles. Thanks a lot for posting! Yours is only the second of these I've seen and is the best etch imo of any Schrade DU lockbacks. It has very fine detail.

Thought you might be interested in seeing what your unfinished knife was originally supposed to be when finished with the original black delrin handles. Mine's one of about only 57 made so that blade and etch are very rare. Mine was raffled off at the Minnesota Ducks Unlimited State Convention in February of 2000.

To quote lrv (Larry):

"Here are some numbers for the LB7DU
Stock # S0904605
1995 57 were made 0 shipped
1996 32 shipped
1997, 1998 , 1999 1 each were shipped
2000 5 shipped.
by 2001 the inventory was at 0."

The etching was done by Baron Industries and if you Google them you will see some other outstanding etches.
