duct tape for repairs

Myth Busters did a show on duct tape. It really is an amazing product. They taped a person to a sheet of plywood and hung him facing down. They hung a Ford Crown Victoria from a crane with it. They built a fully functional "rope" bridge with it. They built a CANNON that actually fires with it. They built a sail boat out of it and sailed it around the bay.

Not much that can't be done with the proper amount of duct tape.

Yeah I noticed the brand was Nashua (USA),the stuff we use at work is the same stuff it is good,we tried a different brand was absolutely not as good

Duct tape is very useful, but I'm not crazy about people wasting rolls and rolls of it to just to prove a point. A physics teacher I worked with had student make cardboard boats with duct tape and they probably went through 100 rolls of it. Where does it end up minutes after the contest? In the landfill, for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Yes, so in 100s of years we will look back at ourselves and go..... 'whoa man, that old technology was pretty good for its time.' :D

Ive personally flown in helo's that were repaired with "100 mph" tape. Nobody else seemed worried about it so I got in and away we went.--KV
