I made this bag to carry beach items. The open mesh does not accumulate sand and is ideal for toting damp/wet items. I liked it to much that I use it for times when a duffle style bag is needed.

Made of spun nylon cord - 1/1/4" wide gauge - start at bottom with 12 meshes (2 1/2" OD brass ring) - 25 rows - top row 36 meshes of double twine - 5' long draw cord tied with lanyard knot to brass clip.

That is really well made and could probably be turned into a fish trap in a survival situation; it would make an excellent dive bag for lobster divers.

Excellent craftsmanship, and a historical design that goes way back in time.

Still at it, Tony? :D I made a bag very similar to yours for a woman to carry her yoga mat in.

People who have never tried netting have no idea how versatile and how much fun net making can be.

BTW, did you see my scarf/net? :D
