I'm trying to understand the differences in style and development between the Dui Chirra as per the Khuk inspired by Berkley and the Baby Dui Chirra?

Any help in understanding the how's and why's of these similarly named but very different blades would be much appreciated !

I Thnk Its Just A Similiarity In Names,,bdc Also Has Stood For Buras Daily Carry...those Who Know Will Chime In With Better Info

Dui Chirra literally means 'two fullers'. Both knives have these and therefore qualify for the name, despite being quite different in shape and size.

Whats in a name ...obviously more than two fullers I think?

Here is a Dui Chirra from a recent deal of the day:

It follows the form of the Berkley Special as per HI's web site : http://www.himalayan-imports.com/new.html

Especially note the traditional bell shaped grip!

Now from another DOTD comes the 'Baby Dui Chirra'

Importantly, please note the different grip shape. Not to mention the blade ...

It is the "How, When and Why ?" of these changes to the Dui Chirra that are of interest!

Any one have any answers please?
