Hi Joe, Richard M, or anyone in the know,

I got a very nice Duke 500 with Scrim work of a wolf. Anyone know anything about this knife? Was the a proto for a project that was not made or just some custom art work?

This is gong to be an Xmas gift for my daughter who is a wolf lover. She is also the only one of my 5 kids who has an interest in knife collecting (Buck knives that is).

I've not seen it before. It could be a proto but most likely is a rework. Either way it is a nice looking knife. Thanks for sharing.

It does not look familiar to me either. If it has a fairly current date code, I am pretty sure it is an aftermarket inlay. It looks quite stunning whoever did the work! That will make a nice gift!

Thanks for the comments and info. It is a 1996 stamped blade. So it is from the same time as the other 500 scrim issues. It will be a very nice Xmas gift for my daughter.
