Duke ? was it offered in 425M

Have a friend at work said he had a Duke back in 1988 or so
said it was the sharpest and held a edge longer than and knife he ever had.
Got me thinking it might have been 425M steel.

Yes. 425m was Buck's standard steel from about 1981/82 until 1992.

Hawk, look at your friends knife and if it has birch handles, a block lettered stamp or one of the first 6 year date stamps, then it has 425m steel. I like that steel
and your friend could have a valid point. DM
