Dull finish on pocket clips

What is the best way to put a dull metallic finish on a pocket clip? I would like to do this to my EDC folder and flashlight. I see a lot of shiny polished ones around, but I'm hoping there is a good way to do this via Dremel or enamel. Thanks.

You can buy a cheap tumbler at Harbor Freight and get some media. This will give it a stone washed look.

Dremel and a wire wheel might work, carefully applied. Sanding by hand with a medium-coarse (220/320 or so) grit will also give you a satin or 'brushed' appearance.

I would just put a satin finish on it by using some silicon carbide sand paper. I would try 600 grit first, if its not dull enough, use the next coarser grit. Use strokes going the full length of the clip and use a new part of the sand paper ever 2-3 strokes. I just use the sand paper dry.

Does anyone know how to categorize the finish on the SOG Flash series clips? That is what I'm aiming for with my Benchmade, as I think it blends in well with jeans.

Based on all the pics I've seen of the SOG Flash (I don't have one), the clip looks more-or-less like a satin bead-blast finish. It reminds me of the bead-blast finish on many of Kershaw's blades. On their knives with black blades & clips, SOG does point out, on their own site, the clips are coated in TiNi (Titanium Nitride). Appears to be applied over the same satin/bead-blast finish.
