Dull Yojimbo 2

Spyderco usually have the sharpest factory edge that I can tell, I have two enduras, a resilience and just got a Yojimbo 2. All of them came hair shaving or in the enduras case hair popping sharp except the Yojimbo and it is from a trusted dealer. I guess I’m just disappointed because it seems everyone’s else’s came atom splitting sharp and mine doesn’t even go through paper without a fight. Sorry for the whine I love it anyway I’ll just sharpen it up, but has anyone else got a bad factory edge from an expensive spyderco??

Sorry, nope. Even the sub-$100 ones came with great edges. I can't speak for the serrated ones, I only really buy plain edge.

Ah true it’s just that I’ve heard all the ones from golden are like atom spilitting sharp! It’s an easy fix I just wanted it to come with a great edge for the price I paid.

Out of many, I got one with a burr. Took no real time to remove it. I've had a few that when they got dull needed a little reprofiling to match the Sharpmaker's 30 degree angle, but all can take an edge at 40 degrees. Return it to the dealer or let Spyderco sharpen it.
