Was just checking out Duluth trading company and I'm digging the buck naked underwear and firehose pants. Anybody try these? They're a bit pricey but I don't mind paying for quality. How's the fit? Comfort? Durability?

Thanks

I made the switch from Carhartt to firehose pants and haven't looked back. They are very comfortable and allow you to move like you are wearing sweatpants. The biggest thing I have noticed is that they do not wear out. I was going through Carhartts pretty regular and I haven't been able to wear the Firehose down at all. They do seem to fade a little after 3-4 months but nothing too bad. I hate to say it but if they were $100 a pair, I would still buy them... They are that good.

I have worked my way through the brands until I found Duluth Trading Co. I'm done looking. Just got another pair of firehose pants and their underwear..... Best stuff out there. Front pockets are deep enough to successfully hide a decent sized pistol in a good pocket holster (i.e. Robert Mika holster...) Cargo pockets are nice and deep, and the velcro has NOT given out in several years of wear and wash.

I don't have those specific products, but wanted to toss in a Thumbs Up for Duluth Trading being a reputable store known for quality gear. My Master Series briefcase was carried daily for five years on the drill rigs, and for the last five years has been by carry-on luggage for hundreds of flights including 17+ trips to Australia. The only wear and tear, the black finish is wearing off of the steel zippers and clips.

I wear the boxer briefs for hiking and love em. I tried several different brands before these and they all rode up on me. These stay in place and are very comfortable.

I have a genetic kidney disease which has caused my kidneys to become roughly 40x as large as normal kidneys. There was a point about a year ago that, because a belt was too painful, I decided that I was giving up on pants .... I'll wait for you to get that mental image out of your head.... and start wearing DTC overalls. I've worn 2 pair 100% of the time since, and they really do wear like iron. Even the elastic shoulder straps are still holding up. The only downside is that do hold a stain -- I haven't found anything that will get an oil spot out of them. They're wicked comfortable, too.

Another thumbs up for Duluth TC. I wear ExOfficio boxer briefs exclusively, but am very fond of the firehose pants.

Last year, when I asked my dad what he'd like for Christmas, he specifically requested DTC jeans. They recently opened a store nearby, and when I went with a co-worker, he bought some jeans for himself as well. Both are very impressed. The only thing that surprised me (negatively) was that a lot of DTC clothing is imported, whereas I had thought that they claimed it was all made in the USA. That being said, it could just be faulty memory on my part, although given their prices, I would hope that their QC of the imports is equal to that of the USA-made items.

I wear the DTC banded-bottom polo shirts 4 days a week at work. Haven't found anything else that can match them.

I have not tried the firehose pants yet but I am slowly converting all my boxers to the buck naked ones as I wear out my old ones.

I am also a big fan of their fleece jackets and water resistant hoodies.

I've been a DTC customer for years. I haven't been able to try their firehose pants since they don't run longer than a 34" inseam. 15 years ago they were one of the few places you vould find the larger sizes.

I still use their long tail mocks for work and thrir boxer briefs are excellent.

Not skinny enough yet for the firehose clothes but love their long-tail t's, fleece wharf/dockworkers gloves and hats. I don't have to order a tall with their "tradesman cut" on shirts and I wear a 5XLT, well, now a 4XLT.

I have a pair of the fire hose pants. They are indestructible. I need to buy more. Buy a pair and you won`t regret it.

The firehose Work pants come in longer inseams but the 5 pocket jeans dont. The work pants are double TUFF!--KV

Another vote for the Firehose work pants, I have worn out a few pairs but it took several years of wear and tear. The flex Firehose is lighter but holding up well, still tougher than carhartt.

Yup. I also get the Longtail T's, being 6' 4", and never a problem. They hold up at least 5x as long as usual T-shirts, some I've had for 5 years, with no fading or holes to speak of.

I can't speak for the firehose pants, but I bought some Longtail T's, best shirts out there. My dad wound up picking up 5 of them last week and a pair of their Wild Boar boots, He wears them instead of his Redbacks for work. Another vote for Duluth Trading Company.
