Dumb Manix 2 question...

Hey, I FINALLY got a Manix 2 today and I had a question about the "063v" marked on the blade...from the limited information I found online it appears that I got sprint run version (bought it off of the bay, wasn't listed as a sprint and pix didn't show the number on the box or blade...) but does anyone actually know what this number means? I saw somewhere that the "V" means variant and the "063" would be #63 of 300, but I saw an 063v Manix 2 listed somewhere else, along with an Endura with the same #. Thanks!

That is a Spyderco Collector's Club number, not a sprint run. Some of the club members sell the models that they don't want. The Spyderedge model is usually considered the "base" model and plain or combo edge knives are the variants. It is a little more complicated than that, but you get the picture.

There shouldn't be another 063V Manix 2 exactly like yours anywhere.
