Heck, I'd settle for pink, just wish they'd do a PE Matriarch. For EDC, a bit of spray paint hides a multitude of sins. Not to mention that anyone who had ever seen a Matriarch and still poked fun at the handle color would deserve to have "Darwin Award Nominee" tattooed on their forhead.ERINT said:Wish Spyderco made more of thier hawkbills in PE with black grips.![]()
:footinmou :footinmou :footinmou One of these days I will learn that I should never make unqualified statements about anything concerning "Spydercobilia". A couple weeks ago, if someone had asked me "where can I get a PE CF Navigator?", I'd have probably said "no such animal". Today, there is one on its way to me. So a fairer, more accurate, statement regarding the PE Matriarch would be that, to the best of my knowledge, all production Matriarchs were SE. Logic would suggest that a PE "concept model" or prototype of any model might exist, or have existed at some point in time, as adding serrations involves additional work.cerulean said:The only plain edge Matriarch I remember was that one prototype. (Here's a link to the thread that Blades bumped up.) I can't find any pics of it, which sucks because, IIRC, it had a slightly different blade shape than the production version.
The Deacon said:As far as the grey ones go, the only ones I have ever seen, which I believe were from the batch originally made for sale in South Africa, were SE. Yet, there is another old thread here that alludes to a "BladeForums" grey Matriarch. I've never seen one of those.
Thanks Dwight, that makes a lot of sense. Just to clarify things a bit more, are the grey BFC ones serrated?pyrguy said:I have a couple of those. They are/were the same model as the SA knife with the grey FRN handles. They were only sold the BFC members, max order three, and only in the USA IIRC.
They are unmarked as BCF knives, just the standard Spyderco markings.
