dumb question on leather honing belt

i just purchased a leather belt for my 2 inch grinder, and since i have no
experience with a lether belt i am not sure if you use with the blade up or the
blade down, please help!!!!

Definitly with the edge down, edge up will not only ruin your belt,
but get you hurt as well.

Yup what Job said. Plus...

Run the machine slowly.
Reduce your sharpening angle a bit.
Don't press very hard.

You see the leather will curl over the edge and dull it. But if done right it'll hone an edge like nobodys business. I couldn't live without mine.
