What year was the first Spyderco production knife made. Particularly the all SS folders. I have one that God knows how old it is. Shows carry wear, and very slight cutting wear on the all serrated blade. I have no idea when it was made, what model it is. Just that it is an oldie but sure has remained in top working order. Maybe a standard or a worker? One of the original made in japan, thats all I know.....wolf

Dumber question now.

Is there, or was there a model in 1982 called the "worker" This one I found has been identified by someone who tells me he knows Spydies and says its a 1982 worker. Make sense????????Thanks wolf

Banning Firearms????????Oh LORD NO!!!!!!!!!! Standing joke. I was selling lots of my guns to buy knives and the BOSS(wife)says: "OK, so its NO MORE GUNS, knives forever that you will be buying" AFTER I bought a 250 buck knife. No Sir, I like my guns, got lots of guns, keep many loaded. I think, wish, believe EVERY GOOD AMERICAN carried a gun and was very well trained, safe, and had the predetermined mindset PRIOR to a possible situation where that person might issue deadly force. I LOVE GUNS!!!!!!!! But not in the hands of criminals and fools.
So this Spyderco from 1981 is a worker? Thanks. The thing looks like it has been carried a lot but shows little wear. Sharp as hell and built like a tank, BUT it has a more rounded point, not a sharp point. Maybe a Standard???????wolf

Thanks for all the help. man you do know your Spyderco's. Just found out it is the Standard, not the worker. Boy for a knife made in 1984, this sucker works like a newborn. It sure is scratched up. How do you "brighten" up the ss????????wolf

Hi Wolfmann. Are you showing your age? Thanx for the info Think. Seems like a long time ago.
