I have been going thru the normalize and anneal cycles on a big cable Bowie today and I brought the blade up to just below critical in the HT oven....and when I went to take the blade out....liquid metal came rolling out the door and started a flameup on the workbench.....WTF!! I say!
Turns out I had placed an aluminum block in there the last time I used it as a prop for a 350F temper cycle. I saw the darn thing in there but it just didnt occur to me it would melt.
Looked pretty cool though.....like the evil Terminator or something
