I have a ScrapYard War Dog and picked up an awesome Rainwalker leather sheath for it. But, the sheath was originally made for a Dumpster Mutt.
The WD fits in it quite nicely, if somewhat loosely. (WD blade is smaller in 2, and possibly 3, dimensions.)
Anyway, I think I need another Bussekin camp knife, (don't we all,) and am about to commission a Kydex sheath specifically for the WD.
From all the positive press, reviews, and comments it's received, and because I have large hands, I think I'm going to pick up a Swamp Rat RatManDu. (Even though pricing on the 511 is very attractive.)
What I'm wondering is, has anyone tried the RMD in a leather sheath made for the DM? How's the fit?
The sheath I have has a snapped strap around the handle, so I'm no too concerned with it falling out. I just want to make sure length and width wise, that it'll fit. (Thickness shouldn't be a problem in that regard, I know.)
Does anyone out there have a Rainwalker Leather sheath for DM, and an RMD? Will the Rat wear the Dogs pants?
Photos and description of fit would be appreciated, but a simple "yes" will let me know I'm safe to pull the trigger.
Just for looking, here's the WD in the Rainwalker DM leather (it came Natural, but I added a touch of dye and a bunch of neatsfoot.)
